滇南彝族传统经籍文学的主要类型和特点

滇南彝族传统经籍文学是当地彝族历代毕摩在当地彝族民间口传文学的基础上,用本民族传统文字——彝文如实记录、第二次创作以及翻译转写其他民族民间文学,并由彝族毕摩一代又一代不断加工、修改、补充、完善,且流传至今的滇南彝族传统经籍文学。从当地历代彝族毕摩所保护和传承且当地彝族民间流传的传统经籍文学版本的主要体裁、素材及其内容看,有史诗类、传说类、伦理类、神灵传言类、婚丧礼仪类、恋爱婚姻类及译著类等;又从当今当地彝族毕摩讲唱传承形式和场域及其采用的唱腔唱曲音乐看,有“甲苏甲类”“诺依特类”“设依甲类”“阿哩甲类”等。纵观滇南彝族传统经籍文学主要体裁、素材及其内容,具有民族性与国际性、支系性与区域性、原生性与变异性、追忆性与憧憬性、丰富性与复杂性、吸纳性与开放性、祭祀性与文学性、历史性与时代性等主要特点。     

Understanding sex: the right to legal capacity to consent to sex

This article addresses the right to legal capacity to consent to sex of people with intellectual disabilities. Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities guarantees the right to legal capacity on an equal basis in all areas of life. This article discusses sex as an area of life in which people with intellectual disabilities are frequently not being granted legal capacity on an equal basis. The article examines current capacity to consent to sex law in Ireland, England and Wales in light of Article 12. It proposes an ‘agreement model’ as a potential alternative that would be Article 12 compliant.     

The Gendered State of Business: Gender,Enterprises and State in Israeli Society

Whether the state provides different entrepreneurial opportunities for women and men and how is an issue rarely discussed in the growing literature concerning gender and organizations. Integrating gender and organization literature with political theories of the state, this paper compares women's entrepreneurship in one setting (Israeli society) across two time periods: before and after the foundation of a sovereign state. Our analysis identifies three manifestations of the gendering state through which it moulds business opportunities of men and women entrepreneurs. We examine how these manifestations: the delegation of economic actors, managing interactions between individuals and institutions, and administering a bureaucracy, shape access to capital and the structure of networks. The article contributes to the existing scholarship by extending the understanding of direct and indirect influence of the state on the reproduction of the image of the ideal entrepreneur and on gender differences in entrepreneurial activity.     

Language,multiple authenticities and social media: The online language practices of university students in Mongolia

This paper seeks to contribute to the current discussion of the sociolinguistics of globalization by revealing youth linguistic diversity from the perspective of the online mixed language practices of university students in contemporary post‐socialist Mongolia. Drawing on sets of Facebook data, the paper firstly argues that the online mixed youth language practices should be understood as ‘translingual’ not only due to their varied recombination of linguistic and cultural resources, genres, modes, styles and repertories, but also due to their direct subtextual connections with wider socio‐cultural, historical and ideological meanings. Secondly, online users metalinguistically claim authenticity in terms of their own translingual practices as opposed to other colliding language ideologies such as linguistic dystopia. How they relocalize the notion of authenticity, however, differs profoundly depending on their own often‐diverse criteria, identities, beliefs and ideas. This shows that, with mixing and recombining at its very core, the translingual practices of modern young speakers provide us with a significant insight into the co‐existence of multiple authenticities and origins of authenticity in an increasingly interconnected world.     

From cultural knowledge to intercultural communicative competence: changing perspectives on the role of culture in foreign language teaching

Approaches to the concept of culture and teaching cultural competence in a foreign language classroom have been changing over the last decades. The paper summarises, compares, contrasts and evaluates four major approaches to teaching cultural competence in foreign language teaching, that is, knowledge-based approach, contrastive approach, Communicative Language Teaching and intercultural communicative competence approach.     

SafetiPin: an innovative mobile app to collect data on women's safety in Indian cities

Women's safety is a key concern of governments and civil society today. In India, the issue has become prominent in the wake of the gang rape and murder in 2012. One of the key elements in addressing the lack of safety in cities is identifying the causes. SafetiPin, a mobile app, is one tool that has been developed to collect data on safety in cities. Building on the international methodology of safety audits, SafetiPin has transformed it into a mobile app that crowd sources data and information on insecurity in cities. Using SafetiPin, data have been collected in seven Indian cities. This article examines some of the data to understand what factors lead to lack of safety and insecurity in cities, and discusses future plans for the project.     

老人自死习俗:尧舜禹禅让的真相

依据爱德华·泰勒的万物有灵观、弗雷泽的原始巫术思维原理、范热内普的过渡礼仪等人类学经典理论,从尧舜禅让中的舜囚尧,以及典籍中的类比性描述,对《尚书》中年龄数字的剖析,去掉神话历史化、历史道德化的迷雾,尧舜禹禅让的真相是老人自死习俗,周期三年。商末周初,随着观念和习俗的演变,老人生命的终结,逐渐由自死的形式过渡到自然死亡的形式,该习俗已经在国家层面不复存在,并分别演化成"大夫七十而致事"的官礼、"三年之丧"的丧礼。老人自死是那个时代敬老、孝道的重大仪式。
